Matachica beach resort and spa is an absolute gem! The resort is wonderfully maintained, with a fine beach and a beautiful pool area. We loved our seabreeze beach casita, cleaned to a high standard every day. The movie night under the stars was a good touch too!

The beach's unfortunate seaweed issue took away from the swimming experience, though the hotel's efforts to manage it were noticeable.

Staying here was excellent because of the proximity to places like Soul Kitchen just a short walk away for tasty local eats, and being close to the beach for fine sunsets. The beautiful casitas provided a comforting retreat after long days of walking and exploring the landmarks like the San Pedro House of Culture and Coral Gardens.
